Lawrence Yang and Pierre-Loup Griffais, the designers of Steam Deck, spoke with The Verge about the company’s plans for the future of hardware. Yang responded to a question about a second Steam Controller by saying the Valve team is hoping to develop one. Ultimately, he said, “Yeah, we want to make it happen.” In addition, he also said: Valve’s Deck has made a name for them in the industry, and the company seems eager to try new things while hopefully learning from its past mistakes (in this case, with the original controller). While we haven’t heard anything definitive about whether or not Valve plans to create a controller, we can at least hold out hope that if they do, it will be a quality product. Leave a comment below and let us know what you think about this topic, as well as whether or not you believe it will be a good decision for the company to have another go at the controller. The old controller is no longer available for purchase; however, if you are interested in learning more about it, you can find a lot of information about it online.
